I have been engaged throughout my life in the pursuit of Truth and what the essence of my Being is. From the roots of Catholicism through forays into Buddhism, New Age theisms, and philosophy, I finally came to the Science of Kundalini Yoga where I have found Home and a practice which takes me where I want to Be.

The practice and study of this style of Yoga began in 1974 with a hearty exploration diluted with my old ways of being, namely those of hippiedom, until in 1976 I decided to dive all out into a yoga community and bring my practice to a full-time experience.

In the Dallas ashram setting I worked and studied yoga and began teaching classes. But in 1996 under the guidance of Yogi Bhajan I took the first Master's Touch Teacher Training and began to teach earnestly and with an authority gained from that experience which I had not felt before.

I have been in Austin since 1990 and taught in various venues until in 1998 the first Yoga Yoga studio opened and I have been affiliated with that organization ever since. I teach weekly drop-in classes at three of the five studios and have for the past 5 or 6 years helped teach the Yoga Yoga Teacher Training program with Mehtab and Guru Karam Benton. Training Teachers and teaching yoga in general is one facet of my life that allows me to feel and live my destiny.

I have been playing music since I was a teenager during the explosive popularity of folk music and have been playing the gong for 8 or 9 years. Blending the practice of Yoga with music, mantra, and the healing effects of the gong brings a depth of experience which I can only describe as sublime.

Come along with me on a journey of breath, movement, sound and meditation which I hope will bring as much discovery, fulfillment and satisfaction to you as this practice has given to me.
