Jogi Bhagat

Russell Burns - Director

Hatha Yoga Teacher trained at the Advanced level in: Anatomy, Asan, Movement, Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama (Breathing), Meditation, Wall Yoga, and Yoga for Depression and Anxiety.

Yoga has become a way of life for me, it brings me to a place of peace and happiness, and guides me in daily living. My clearest and most inspired moments and thoughts come to me during and after my practice. Happiness, joy or as it is often called, "bliss", comes with the removal of physical, mental and spiritual discomfort or disclarity.

I hope to share this ability to find peace and clarity with others in my classes and the events I coordinate. I'm the Vice President and an instructor for the Free Day of Yoga, inc. a non-profit corporation, the Founder/Director of the Austin Yoga Festival and the Austin Yoga Conference. These serve to raise the awareness of the benefits of yoga and raise funds and food donations for the Capital Area Food Bank, and Community yoga, Amala Foundation and other yoga outreach programs. All of our efforts and funds raised, directly benefit those in need in Austin, the Austin yoga community and likely the physical, mental and spiritual health of people you know.

At each event I serve as Director and substitute or assistant yoga teacher and attempt to inspire peace, unity and levity to the wonderful group of yoga teachers, staff and volunteers who joins us to produce the events.

I hope to see you at the 2013 Austin Yoga Conference and please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your experience the very best it can be, at this event or any future events.
