Chris P.

Chris P. (Bhagat Singh)

Chrispy is a Mindfulness and Yoga Educator trained in Vinyasa Ashtanga, Hatha, and Kundalini Yoga, focusing on MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction). Not only a facilitator for Asana and Mindfulness, he is also a Spiritual Intelligence Mentor and an Ordained Rector, and uses these modalities to bring clarity, empowerment and transformation to each class.

Chrispy has studied with world-renowned masters of the crafts in Mindfulness, Meditation, Asana, Philosophy, Tantra, Ayurveda (the yogic science of life), Jyotish (the yogic science of astrology), the Chakra system, the Five Elements, as well as both Yogic and Western anatomy.

Chrispy seeks to combine the dynamic flow of Ashtanga, the subtle energetics of Kundalini and the sweaty good times of Vinyasa into a transformational experience - moving meditations, physical prayer, transcendence and surrender, passion and compassion.

His current focus includes moving into and facilitating Conscious Activism, teaching the asana practice of yoga in multiple settings to diverse audiences, and instructing MBSR. He is also the founder of a non-profit service organization, Austin Yoga Tribe.

During Chrispy‚s class, you will be challenged: It will be loud, nectar will be wrung from your body as you fervently supplicate. You will be emptied, provoked and confronted in a supportive manner the first stop on the path of fulfillment is to get fully empty.

"Vinyasa Playground" - 2 hour Workshop

Saturday May 11th • 3:00 - 5:00 pm

A workshop incorporating arm-balances and inversions into playful flows
Arm balancing and inversions can be very fun, and playful, and allow us to break through limitations, if we can find foundation, then engagement, the expression will come. Being able to incorporate some of these playful elements into a flow can provide for extra challenge or new perspectives on our practice.

We'll build solid and juicy flows, and then briefly workshop on options. As we move back into dynamic flowing, there will be many opportunities to play and incorporate. Add some spice, some variety, visit some poses you may not experience in your practice, and change it up!

This workshop will include discussion, preparation, specific work on several arm balances and inversions, and then an opportunity to combine these components into a challenging and rewarding flow practice focused on playfulness, experimentation and fun.

Flow experience helpful, but for anyone who can put a smile on their face while being challenged. Bring a towel; you‚ll need it!
